In the United States, we participated in the collection of pesticides organized jointly by Jefferson County and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. More than 900 metric tons of products were collected, 98% of which was treated in our incineration plants in Sauget (Illinois) and Port Arthur (Texas).
In France, the Gironde Prefecture requisitioned Veolia Environmental Services units to treat waste from the Prestige oil spill. It was incinerated in a furnace operating at 1,000°C.
