Controlling risk, recovering materials

Drawing on our unique expertise in the hazardous waste management field, we combine innovative processes with state-of-the-art facilities to provide solutions at every stage in the waste management chain. In Asia, we are the industrial leader treating hazardous or medical waste in Tianjin, Huizhou, Foshan of Mainland China as well as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea.

From collection to recycling: all-round expertise

As experts in the management of hazardous waste, we are capable of handling all aspects of its treatment: selective collection, recycling, landfilling, incineration and recovery. In order to recover the materials contained in liquid waste and industrial compounds, we use innovative chemical processes that offer economically attractive recycling and recovery conditions. Under the Marpol convention, we provide services in ports to dispose of hydrocarbon waste and thus prevent marine pollution.

Solutions for all your waste

We can work with all types of hazardous waste with the exception of nuclear waste, and guarantee full waste traceability:

  • Paints, solvents resins, used oils,
  • Heavy metals, batteries, fluorescent light tubes,
  • Plant health products, laboratory waste,
  • Hydrocarbon waste, soiled packaging,
  • Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)… This particular type of hazardous waste must be collected separately to favor recycling and recovery.

Optimized processes to cut costs

The services we offer rely on optimized processes that aim to reduce treatment costs. For example, we have developed a process to treat sludge, solid waste and tank residues to fuel a boiler for Exxon Mobil. The result? No more landfilling costs, saving the company approximately 250,000 dollars a year. At Renault’s plant in Douai, France, we have introduced an innovative biochemical treatment process in the paint cabin waste pits. The aim was to reduce the volume of sludge by 10 to 15% whilst facilitating the raking operation and optimizing the loading of the removal containers. As a result, solvent odors have been reduced and the manufacturer has been able to reduce its operating costs.

Highly technical facilities

In China, we are designing, building and operating several integrated treatment centers to international standards. One is located in Tianjin, one of the world’s 20 largest ports, whilst another, which will eventually become a research, training, education and information centre, is to be found in Huizhou. In the United States, the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (USA) has awarded us the chemical waste management contract for its pharmaceutical partners. We also provide a high-quality service at 50 sites worldwide belonging to a leading American pharmaceutical firm. Also worth a mention are the Enviropace site in Hong Kong and the Limay site in France, where we have developed a cryogenic grinding system to recover metals and plastics and have installed a state-of-the-art system for treating flue gases.
